It sounds like the future. Or at least what we thought in the eighties the future would sound like. French producer and label chief College is exactly who you’d want to soundtrack your life if you were living in a Bladerunner dystopia, haunting synth with automaton beats preceding each of your daily encounters with sentient technological lifeforms.
It’s minimal synth and wave at it’s most classy, alien and intimidating. If the eighties dream of future living has dissipated, if the chances of your or I living in a post AI world are swiftly dissapating, then at least we’ve got the music to go with what could have been.
Supporting on the night are deep house DJs Achterbahn D’Amour (Acid Test / Frank Music), Joel Alter (Kontra Musik / Bass Culture) and Dj Humus (Jackoff / Sweatlodge). The whole thing running into the morning and is presented by Slim & Prince Charles.
College comes on at around 2am.
